It's All About You . . . 

​

It's your big day and making it unique and special to you is a very important thing. Some folks take this to the extreme while others take a much more relaxed approach or perhaps somewhere in between. We recommend listening to the advice of the professionals you have employed to assist you, it's fair to say that they are the most likely to have the right experience to guide you along the way to a successful and smoothly run event that  you'll remember for all the right reasons. Ultimately you will do it your way so be certain to let all the professionals involved know what your vision is.

Here at Nurstead Events, we can't really advise you what food you might like or even what colour scheme looks best. That's personal taste.  Our job is to keep you and your guest entertained, dancing and keep the evening flowing along beautifully.  We want to take any stress or worry away from you as much as we possibly can. Wedding planning can be a stressful enough time without the added worry of 'will the DJ play music we like?', we will to listen to you and tailor what we do and what we play to your personal requirements, guaranteed!

 

So we have created a client portal just for you where you can tell us all that important stuff in detail. This allows us to plan for you and your guests music tastes, likes and dislikes and get to know you a little bit. You should have been sent an email with your personal log in details. That should have happened automatically when you book with Nurstead Court.

Evening Time . . .

This is the part where you get to relax and enjoy yourselves with the company of those you have had with you all day and welcome those people joining you both just for the evening. 

​

If you've not done so as part of the wedding breakfast, you will probably want to cut your wedding cake. Many couples like to include this as part of the evening as it then allows those guests just attending the evening to feel more included in the events of the day. After cutting the cake it's usually time for the traditional first dance. If you are having a 'Toast Master' you may want them to organise and announce both the cake cutting and first dance although we are very happy to announce this too.

Your first dance may be more than one piece of music and could also include special songs for father & daughter or mother & son dances. It's all up to you. There is a place to tell us all about this in our planning forms found in your client portal. In fact we have a whole section for music choices where you can tell us everything you like or don't like.

So take some time to have look through the information form and the music section. Give us as much information as you want. You don't have to fill it all in right now, but when you are finished, click to say your done and we will get to work planning for your big day!

What To Expect From Nurstead Events  . . .

​

Our team will have already setup any equipment during the day before you or any guests have arrived. The team will then be back on site from 6.30pm ready to begin your evening entertainment. We normally start off with some background music while the evening guest arrive and get settled. Thing will then usually get going when the bride and groom are welcomed to the dance floor for the first dance. From there on we will play any pre-selected music and invite guests to request other music too. The evening must finish just before midnight (just before 11pm on Sundays), this is a license requirement at Nurstead Court and is a strict finish time, not something we are able to change.
